Hi! My name is Nicki Hale and I am the owner and Director
for the Competitive Edge Power Dance National Championship
team.I have over 25 years of dance, gymnastics, cheerleading,
acting and singing experience and am a certified instructor.
Competitive Edge is the most unique competitive
dance team you will find in Texas. What makes us unique? We
actually cater to the athlete and her schedule and the parent’s
and their schedules. Flexibility without jeopardizing the teams’ ability
to perform is the key.
Competitive Edge is structured to round out the athlete’s
ability to perform. It is one thing to learn a skill and memorize
steps. It is quit another to be able to “perform” them.
This team will perform in categories such as, but not limited
to:
Acrobatic/Gymnastics Routine with 50% tumbling passes
Ballet Technique and classical steps
Character Portray character – Movies, Theater, TV
Hip-Hop Sharp moves
Jazz Technique
Lyrical Routine using balance, flexibility and control
Modeling Runway style with clothing props
Modern Interpretive dance
Musical Theater Broadway style
Open Class Variety of styles together
Pom Pon Precise use of Pom Pons
Pro-Am Solo and Duets only – 20 years and older
Song & Dance 50% song and 50% dance
Teams consist of 6 dancers or more and the sky is the limit
for individual competitors who want to try it on their own.
So, dance with your team and then compete on an individual
level if you like. I created Competitive Edge to cater to the
athlete. I want to give them unlimited options, expand their
athletic abilities and heighten their performance skills through
positive reinforcement.
If you have a few friends that want to dance as well, you receive
nice cash referrals for each additional registered dancer and
even have the opportunity to receive free tuition if you bring
in 5 dancers or more! Remember. No experience is necessary.
There is room for all levels of skills.
